why am I here now / this place I now occupy / what is my purpose

hide your love away / for it is prey to anger / but is peace to joy

one day to the next / shifts in time and in feeling / key is root in love

weeks are blinks in time / trends take years to form and flow / hold your head and heart

isolation by / force does not teach a lesson / it simply hurts deep

sometimes strength takes on / the task of appearing as / weakness in disguise

when earth is scortched / it appears dead to the eye / but new growth bursts forth

what if the trauma / of the past was only to / train for the future

hope is the beacon / of light we seek in tough times / keep going forward
